Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 September 2026 · Applies to the Pathlings app for iOS and Android

Pathlings is developed by DEVELOPER_NAME ("we"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short on purpose; if anything is unclear, write to SUPPORT_EMAIL.

You don't need an account

The app starts as a guest. We generate a random device identifier and store it on your phone. It is not your Apple ID, phone number or e-mail, and we can't use it to identify you as a person. If you delete the app, the identifier is deleted too and your progress cannot be recovered.

What we store on our servers

Online play, the leaderboard and cloud progress run on Supabase (EU-hosted database). For each guest we keep:

DataWhy
Random device identifierTo recognise your progress across sessions
Username and avatar you choseShown to other players in matches and on the leaderboard
Country code (from your phone's region setting)Shown as a small flag on the leaderboard
Wins, losses, points, currency balances, purchasesTo run the game, leagues, quests and restore purchases
Match recordsTo run online matches and detect cheating

We don't store your name, e-mail, contacts, photos or precise location.

Advertising

Rewarded video ads are served by Google AdMob. When you tap "watch an ad" the Google Mobile Ads SDK loads an ad and may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, coarse location derived from it, and basic device information. On iOS the app asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) before AdMob can use the advertising identifier; if you decline, ads still work but are not personalised. In the EU/EEA and UK you will also see a consent form; you can change your choice from Settings inside the app. Google's own policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. We only receive a receipt that lets us add the item to your account and restore it later.

Analytics and crashes

The app may send anonymous usage events (screens opened, match started, ad watched) and crash reports through Firebase Analytics so we can fix bugs and balance the game. These reports are tied to the random identifier, not to you.

Notifications

Reminders (energy refilled, daily puzzle ready) are local notifications scheduled on your phone. Nothing is sent to a server. You can turn them off in the phone's Settings at any time.

Children

Pathlings is rated for ages 4+ but is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we'll update the date above and mention it inside the app.
